The month of May marks the time for university exams across the UK. For students, it can be a stressful time fraught with studying and cramming to make sure all the material is learned so all the exams can be passed with flying colours. However, if you study too much you start being counterproductive. It is actually a better idea to do some studying and then take a break. If you have study groups, this is the perfect time for you and your friends to take a break from cramming for exams to launch some sky lanterns.
Add some luck to your studying and exam taking
Of course, passing exams takes skill and knowledge and nothing can substitute good, old fashioned studying. But sky lanterns have a rich tradition of being used for good luck, prayers and well wishes. What student couldn’t use a little added boost of some good luck during exam time? A great way to do this is to personalize the sky lanterns in the ancient tradition and then launch them into the sky. The belief is that as the sky lanterns float up into the air they get closer to the gods’ ears.
Whether you believe that or not, a little good luck never hurts. Take each sky lantern and write your wishes or a prayer on the lantern using a sharpie marker. Each person can then take turns lighting then launching the lantern until all fill the sky. Hopefully, the wishes to do well on your exams will be heard and bring some added luck to your hard work of studying. You can choose from traditional sky lanterns such as the ones found athttp://www.nightskylanterns.co.uk/sky-lanterns/white-traditional-sky-lanterns/prod_8.html or coloured lanterns such as the ones found at http://www.nightskylanterns.co.uk/sky-lanterns/coloured-traditional-sky-lanterns/prod_9.html. You can even get sharpie markers at http://www.nightskylanterns.co.uk/lantern-accessories/permanent-marker-pens/prod_22.html.
Sky lanterns are a lot of fun and a great break
If you study too hard you will get too stressed and won’t make any progress. So, it is important to take occasional breaks from cramming in order to rejuvenate. What better way than to launch some sky lanterns? Sky lanterns are fun and safe to use. You and your friends or study partners can have a lot of fun preparing and then launching the sky lanterns. As you watch them float across the sky you get to watch the serenity and beauty of the glow from the sky lanterns as the waft across the sky. This can be just the thing you need to give you a little break and ease the mind for a little while before getting back to studying.
Sky lanterns are fun and look great when they are launched. You can add another dimension to the fun by personalizing them with wishes or prayers for doing well on your exams before launching them. You can choose from a variety of different sky lanterns. You can use traditional white or coloured. You can choose regular sized or choose bigger ones. You can even get different, fun shapes. It is the perfect break from studying for university exams. This entry was posted on Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 7:46 AM and is filed under General News.
