For fans of rugby and soccer, today is a great day. With not one but two finals on the line today, the worse part of the day is deciding which final to watch. Luckily for fans of both European Club Rugby and the UEFA, they should be able to watch both matches. With the Heineken Cup Rugby final starting almost three hours before the Champions League final, the entire afternoon and evening can be devoted to watching sports.
The Heineken Cup rugby final is being held in France and is being fought out between two French teams. Toulou SE is going against Biarritz who have only been seen in 2 showcase matches in their history, with their latest being a sound defeat in 2006. Toulouse on the other hand is in its sixth Heineken Cup final, being a record for any club in the league. Launches of flying lanterns are a great way to show support for either team or simply to celebrate the sport of rugby in general. These Chinese Hanging Lanterns have long burning fuel cells. With the right winds, they could even make it to France! Our eco lanterns will guarantee that the lanterns do no harm wherever they land and are an inexpensive way to send your wishes for a team’s victory for the game aloft into the sky.
If you intend to watch both games, a quick break after the rugby match is a great time to let everyone know that you are watching football next. While UEFA has a fancy ball for the final, they can’t match a Chinese lantern floating in the sky in the design of a football. Available here: http://www.nightskylanterns.co.uk/novelty-sky-lanterns/football-sky-lanterns/prod_26.html, these floating lanterns stand almost a full metre tall, are available in three different colour combinations and are visible for miles, day or night.
The football match itself is being held in Madrid Spain and looks to be an excellent match. Germany’s FC Bayern Munchen will be playing it out against FC Internazionale Milano in what is expected to be one of the best games in years. The coaches have history, with Bayern’s coach formerly overseeing Milano’s coach while he was the coach of Barcelona’s team in 1997 through 2000. Each of these coaches have won this tournament as well so they know how to prepare teams for this game. Furthermore, this is not the first time these teams have met; they have played against each other five times previously with the current outcome of 2 wins each and a draw.
Regardless of the team you choose to support, launching lanterns after the game is over is a great way to celebrate a victory or help ignore the defeat of your preferred team. As an alternative to launching Chinese Hanging Lanterns into the sky, sending them across the water is another option Nightskylanterns.co.uk offers. Water lanterns are available on our site as well and use similar fire-resistant paper as our Chinese lanterns. These lanterns can be written on and sent out into any body of water, from a pond or swimming pool to a lake or even the ocean. With the included tea light they are visible at night with the message written being visible as well. On a smooth body of water , they will float well after the tea light burns out.
